Sleek yet striking, with a unique double cowl bonnet to emphasise the signature tigerface front and Heartbeat Daytime Running Lights, the Kia Niro’s exterior styling is guaranteed to turn heads. Admire the sense of uniqueness with the combined matt and gloss highlighted two-tone front grille. With its hexagonal pattern, it says futuristic and high-tech from every angle. Complemented by a powerful lower cladding design for an extra-wide look, with an integrated central charging point.

Distinctive Crossover side details

Designed around a simple character line with bold CUV styling, the side profile of the Kia Niro features unique body cladding that conveys a distinctive impression. This is combined with a high-tech two-tone colour body with High Glossy or Steel Gray cladding and a stylish Aero C-Pillar at the rear to enhance airflow and aerodynamics.

Confident power from behind

Bold and stylish: At the back, a simple and beautiful design concept incorporates Boomerang-style taillights, a Heartbeat reflector, rugged skid plate, and strong but simple lower bumper. It complements the front of the EV with clean sophisticated body lines, and the unique Third Roof Pillar (C-Pillar) for improved aerodynamics.

The fresh and expressive sculpted body shape and exceptional crossover looks of the Niro are designed to delight in what the future holds. Besides the distinctive two-tone hexagonal front grille, Steel Gray body cladding and a Steel Gray Aero-Third Roof Pillar are available for yet more character.

Choice of dynamic alloy wheels

Created exclusively for the Niro EV, the custom alloy 17-inch wheels have a 5-petal design and feature a two-colour finish with black accents. Meanwhile, the Niro Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid feature specially designed 16-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels, depending on the trim level you choose.

Eco-friendly materials inspired by nature

As a clear statement of Kia’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have developed different seat materials for the Niro. Depending on the trim level you choose, seat material is available in cloth, cloth-artificial leather combination, PVC artificial leather or PU artificial leather, which are both vegan. The PU vegan leather seats also contain Tencel™ made from eucalyptus wood for a more natural feel.

Anti-Collision & Highway Assistants

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)

Evaluating both camera and radar data from your Niro, the system analyses information about other cars, pedestrians or cyclists crossing the road to avoid a potential collision with them. FCA 1.5 also functions to prevent collisions with vehicles when turning at a junction or making a left turn at an intersection. If it detects a potential collision, a warning signal appears on your instrument cluster and maximum braking power is applied. 7

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) warns you if there is a risk of collision with a rear side vehicle in the blind-spot while changing lanes. When forward exiting a parallel-parking spot, if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind, it automatically assists with emergency braking.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)

NSCC maintains your specified set speed and ensures a safe distance to the vehicle ahead by controlling acceleration and deceleration. It also auto-decelerates your speed on any curvature based on road information provided by the navigation system.

(1)  7-year battery warranty

Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. (2)  Kia Connect Services

The services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your vehicle’s head unit. Available On-Board Services might differ depending on your country. Smartphone with data plan required to activate Kia Connect Live Services services in countries and models without embedded telematics.

(3)  Kia Connect On-Board Services

Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia Connect App. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.

(4)  7-year warranty

Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. (5)  Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™

The Kia Niro is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(6)  Wireless Phone Charger

Wireless charging compatible with phones featuring Qi technology or a Qi adapter.

(7)  Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(8) OTA Updates

For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle's navigation system and of the Head Unit software usining the so called "over-the-air" methos ("OTA Updates"). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicel's navigation system and out of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/mian or (ii) at a dealership.

(9) DriveWise technologies

DriveWise technologies are assistance systems and do not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time.
